Winter Mosaic Monday
Hello Lovelies!
I'm experiencing (annoying, of course) tech problems with both computer and scanner. And even my iphone camera is behaving badly... So here comes a Winter Mosaic, made from my flickr faves, to set you in a nice cozy mood...
1. matchstick skiers, 2. bubbles, 3. white on white, 4. tag teapot, 5. Kerri & Kenneth - invite detail, 6. maple
As always, enjoy!

My Sunday Walk

Here's a picture of my Sunday walk in the outdoors. Meet the Marsanne forest in the fall, in the South-East of France (Provence). Here are a couple of leaves I gathered along the way and taped on Awagami paper:
Tomorrow, we will be back to design and all things lovely!
enjoy!

I can’t wait for fall!

dreaming of fall..,
originally uploaded by Citrushearts.
The photographer nicknamed Citrushearts and found on Flickr is very dear to me. I love her photographs, and especially this one, that captures the essence of fall. Go see it real large!
I love Fall. It's time for back to school (this year I'll be learning Japanese, lyrical singing and how to throw a teapot!). It's time for that perfect balanced weather, neither too hot nor too cold. It's time to cuddle in warm throws or blankets, for wearing sweaters again, for canning what summer still has to offer, to cook and bake...
I love Fall.
enjoy!

To the Farmer's Market!

It's summertime! So grab yourself a nice fabric handmade bag, from the fofys factory for example, or this cute dolka point one from etsy (seen at Victoria's blog), and head to the nearest farmer's market.

Below are the season's best fruits and vegetables, as photographed by Kana Okada. Find out at REALSIMPLE how to pick them real fresh, how long they last in the fridge and a quick recipe for each one of them. Live light and healthy! Read the article:

Early signs of spring.

image via sfgirlbybay - I don't know who the artist is.
I don't know about where YOU live, but here, in the South of France, the weather is already very fair. So I went and mail ordered red sandals and a white skirt at www.laredoute.com ! Can't wait to receive and wear them, well, indoors for the time being. I also ordered five bling-bling bracelets, for the fun of the sound they make. This sound reminds me of summer.

1. i got a pedicure today, 2. Not available, 3. Untitled
I think I'll need some very bright red/orange nail varnish, too ! It will go fine with the bracelets and the huge 70's vintage eyeglasses I already have. This weather makes me feel very girly, lol!
1. 11, 2. a gift, 3. I love my new red shoes!
Artist and jeweller Abigail A. Percy thought ahead and already planted a few scented blooms ! Hyacinths, actually. I usually do that too every year but this year I forgot. Maybe it's not too late and I can go and buy me a pair, too ! Here are Abigail's blooms :

Happy early spring everyone !

How I drew my seasons greetings cards.
Every year I'm preparing my own Xmas cards... I decided the general setting would be of a bird (here, a sparrow) sitting on a branch of a tree. A bit like this pattern on a fabric sold at http://volksfaden.de/ :

but I don't know to draw birds well though...
I needed interesting, unusual berries:
source : ATSF
the bird was inspired to me by ũber-talented ceramist Diana Fayt:
I also wanted a winter wonderland atmosphere:
I first did a couple of doodles, then the final drawing.
The very first doodle looked like this:

The second doodle looked like this:

The final result is a bird a bit like Diana Fayt's, those strange yellow and red berries, and a bit of snow on top of all of it!

Happy New Year to you all!

It's Springtime!

..,
originally uploaded by daytrips.
The weather is upside down this year in France (where I live): very warm to virtually no winter and now a cold, icy-windy spring... Anyway, I wish you a happy springtime! I'm sure lots beautiful of macro shots will soon blossom on Flickr... ;-)
