Hello Lovelies! I'm doing the One-Room Remedy: photos from Kelly & Jonathan's House Tour. - Choose one room: the Kitchen. In my case, the kitchen also involves the entry and the eating nook. - Gather pictures of rooms you love. DONE! - Start a style tray. Done! My style will be inspired by this photo from Domino: a white/yellow/orange kitchen. That is, a kitchen that is mostly white walls (repainted last August), and yellow/orange finishing touches. - Visit your favourite home store (Monoprix.fr). Done! I... [Lire la suite]

Hello Lovelies! I'm sure that by now, you'd love to see a few glimpses of my home! Here's the challenge I've overcome over the week-end: choose only the best, most beautiful, most useful objects around your home. toss/discard/give/recycle the rest. Having to take photographs actually helps you to do it! ;-) ...So here are *my* keepers in the entry/hallway : in the kitchen: in the dining-room: in the living-room: in the bedroom: What are your keepers? Below is my bedroom door repainted in light grey : I love organizing and cleaning my home right before back to school. it's like starting a new year with a clean slate. :-) Above, is my bedroom, with one wall repainted in bright white and a new shelf unit hung on the wall. I've also tackled the bathroom, and repainted my living-room door in light grey, as I said. I still have a lot to throw out, mainly magazines, and clothes to give away to charity. There will be more white paint on my... [Lire la suite]

Ekta's tailor dummy. Putting necklaces around a dummy's neck is a nice idea, too! Check out Ekta's dummy above, and Diane's bedroom, below (thanks, xojy!). I also love Emily Ballard's idea, seen on AT. Says Emily "And the necklace idea came from both Pottery Barn/Domino, I made them with small boards covered in foam and then with linen". See for yourself how nice the outcome is: And finally, my own jewelry nook: enjoy! -Beautymist.

After some yellow inspiration, comes the perspiration. Cleaning and organizing the kitchen, then buying some yellow stuff as pick-me-ups for the room. Here's what I found at www.Monoprix.fr : A yellow rug to put below sink, two white and yellow mugs to hang above counter, one dishtowel with same leaf/floral pattern as mugs (to be hung too), and a small bamboo tray for lemons and onions, to put on counter top. Yay!Beautymist.

photo Hygge & West. Hello, You may, just like me, have gathered quite a few pieces of jewelry in your life, whether family heirlooms or more modern twists on body adornment, and so are now looking for artful ways to display it. And it has to be practical, too! I have thus picked up a few inspirational photos for you and me. The first picture I found via the always inspiring decor8 blog, and it features a small nook by Christiana Coop's bedside. The hangers are by her own company, Hygge and West. Read more about it...
