Kamal Wrapping Sheets
Hello again!
Kamal's gift wrapping sheets have beautiful patterns, all simple yet effective and beautiful!
I just bought a copy of "Lotta's Printing Studio" (after reading an enthusiastic article about it on the decor8 blog), and I plan to use Kamal's designs as an inspiration. I'll probably buy some of Kamal's good stuff anyway. A mix of the two!

My Apologies to John Hopper
Hello,
(image from The textile blog, via Apartment Therapy)
I've been blogging about Neville Tricket lately and somehow mixed him up with another wonderful man, called John Hopper.
How did that happen? Well, they both share a great love for art for instance, they have both wonderful Flickr photostreams, BUT John Hopper is the one with a strong love for textiles and a very organized blog and photostream about the subject.
The man is good, believe me, and he's been mentioned on Apartment Therapy, right here.
Here is where you can find him (apart from Cornwall, in the UK - Neville lives in Durban, South Africa):

And again, my apologies!

PaperCloud Goods

I just love the PaperCloud pendants lamps (see below)! They also have pillows, journals and more. Very Lotta Jansdotter in feel - Nature turned into Art - but beautiful and original in their own right.Their designs are obviously inspired by Nature, and a Nature they respect - their products are Earth-friendly!

Check out their new collection due in late Spring! And in the meantime...
enjoy!

Leanne Culy : amazing textiles from NZ!
Grace over at the delightful Design*Sponge blog recently made an amazing find, amazing textile design by Leanne Culy. Here is what Grace says:
"the beautiful textiles above and below are the work of leanne culy, an incredible designer based in new zealand. leanne recently designed a line of fabric for home base collections in NZ that reflects her love of nature, a sense of softness and the sense of place that she feels is unique to new zealand. all of the fabrics in leanne’s line for home base collections are produced with the least environmental impact possible- using biodegradable yarns grown without pesticides. you can find more information on leanne’s collection right here- and all of the beautiful photos above and below are by leanne’s husband!"

This one is a particularly delightful photo! :-)
And last but not least, there's even a textile that fits my latest visual obsession, bare tree branches with berries on them... :-)
enjoy!
