Hello Lovelies, Muriel Cibot's cute little nook she uses as a home office. Notice the egg-shaped desk lamp, the lovely dark grey desk and the custom-made woof shelving behind desk. That chair is good-looking, but probably not very comfortable, though... Two days ago, I gave you a small glimpse at Muriel Cibot's place in Paris. She is a French interior decorator. The photo I posted of her living-room was OK-ish but might seem bland. A bit minimal and yes, bare. something was missing. I'd say, the finisqhing touches, such as a rug... [Lire la suite]

Hello Lovelies, Remember that in a previous post today I said: "I just found out yesterday about a gorgeous home that is exactly the same size as my new apartment (YES! I have moved). It is real perfection. IMHO. I promise I will post pictures and info about it in my next blog post." I gotta run now, but here is a little preview: This is Muriel Cibot's living-room, as of 2011 - as published here, among other photos of her place. Check out her custom-made shelving for books and decor accessories! But I promise it... [Lire la suite]

Hello Lovelies! I'm preparing the post on "Timeless Pieces of Furniture: The Armchair"... Excuse me while I only learn how to become a webdesigner, how to drive a car and launch an Etsy shop, all at once! ***The official launch of my Etsy shop will be on April the 8th, so save the date! There will be special discounts! Yay!*** In the meantime, here is a post about Alysia's apartment. I love the butterfly theme (of course!) that goes all around the apartment, and that she decorates with words: "Simplify"... [Lire la suite]

Hello Lovelies! I really like the color combo in this house: This is Catherine's place, and you can visit it thoroughly here. Since I love white flowers, like the ones shown above, I love a quite dark background to befit them best. Here we have a touch of (dark) orange and other autumn colors. Love! enjoy! -Beautymist.

Hello lovelies, My place at night during the winter months... photo by me, Beautymist. 'Tis the merry season again. What are you up to for Christmas? Are you decorating your home? At least, winterizing it a bit? Making gifts yourself, just like Holly Becker advises (wisely) to do? Do you buy handmade? Local? Organic? Green in any way? With care and love and thoughts for the recipient, like sfgirlbybay advises? In this spirit, here is a lovely piece of advice I found via the ever lovely ABT blog: Here's what i've done so far.... I love Jessica's work as a typographer and graphic designer. Here are some photos (by Annie Werbler ) from her vermilion (scarlet) home (via Apartment Therapy). The poster behind her sofa is by calligrapher Seb Lester and can be seen real big on my flickr photostream, right here. Enjoy the whole house tour! -Beautymist

Hello lovelies, photo credit : see below. Today i feel like ranting a bit (sorry!) about reconciling the feminine and the masculine sides in me, design-wise, especially in the bedroom! As you may already know, I love what can be called "masculine flair", dark woods, deep brown and charcoal grey... picture found here But then there's of course a feminine side in me, who loves white floors, Scandinavian design, and the style of sfgirlbybay! So how do I reconcile the two in the bedroom? While browsing indierocket's... [Lire la suite]
